Known for his deep-rooted connection to Malaysian cuisine, Chef Fitri brings 15 years of culinary experience and a cooking style shaped by his early years in Kuala Lumpur. Born and raised in the city’s bustling neighbourhoods, he grew up helping his family sell Nasi Lemak, developing an early understanding of the wok and the flavours that define Malaysian cooking. His culinary journey was further influenced by the home cooking of his mother and grandmother, whose recipes continue to inspire his approach to food.
At Zega, Chef Fitri will present a selection of Malaysian favourites that showcase the diversity of the country’s cuisine. The menu will feature dishes including Nasi Lemak, Royal Rendang, Gado Gado, Laksa, Ayam Penyet, Char Kway Teow, Jackfruit Rendang, Udang Masak Lemak Cili Api, Ikan Bakar, Ayam Percik, Satay, Mee Udang Johor, Sambal Sotong, Pandan Sri Muka and Onde Onde, among others.
