Bengaluru, Sep 21:M5 Mahendra Group, through its CSR arm, the Gowramma Thimmareddy Foundation, distributed 982 school uniform sets to students of the Government Model Primary School in Bommasandra, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru Urban, under its flagship education initiative,‘Namma Shale, Namma Koduge’.
The annual uniform distribution forms part of the Foundation’s long-standing association with the Government Model Primary School, Bommasandra, which it has supported and maintained since 2017. Through this sustained engagement, the Foundation seeks to strengthen the school environment and ensure that students have access to essential resources that enable them to pursue their education with dignity and confidence.
The distribution ceremony was held at the school premises in the presence ofMr. G. Gurumurthy, Block Education Officer, Anekal Taluk; Mr. Ramaswamy, Retired IAS Officer; Smt. Vani, Education Coordinator, Office of the Block Education Officer, Anekal Taluk; Sri K. Chandrashekar, General Secretary, Karnataka State Primary School Teachers’ Association; and Mr. L. Nagabhushan, President, School Development and Monitoring Committee, alongsideMr. B. T. Nagaraj Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, M5 Mahendra Group, and Managing Trustee, Gowramma Thimmareddy Foundation. School representatives, including HeadmistressesSmt. B. N. Premakumari and Smt. Mosarat Mubina, and Co-TeacherMr. Lokesha T., were also present.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s broader approach to education, centered on sustained engagement with schools and communities rather than one-time interventions. The annual provision of uniforms is aimed at reducing an everyday barrier to schooling while fostering dignity, confidence and a sense of belonging among students.

“Education creates opportunity, but children must first have an environment in which they can learn with dignity and confidence. When we began supporting the Government Model Primary School in Bommasandra, our intention was not to undertake a one-time initiative, but to build a long-term relationship with the school and its students. ‘Namma Shale, Namma Koduge’ reflects that commitment. A uniform may appear to be a small requirement, but for a child it represents equality, belonging and pride in going to school. We remain committed to supporting the school and creating an environment in which every child has the opportunity to learn and aspire.”
Over the years, the Gowramma Thimmareddy Foundation has expanded its social-impact initiatives beyond education to include healthcare, animal welfare, civic infrastructure, livelihood enhancement, water and sanitation, and heritage conservation. Its initiatives include the adoption and care of an elephant at Bannerghatta National Park, health camps and free medicine distribution for underserved communities, public infrastructure development at Chandapura Circle, and other community-focused programmes across Bengaluru and surrounding areas.
Through seven focus areas —Pashu Saanjeevini,Gnana Deepa,Sujana Samsthaana,Kaushala Setu,Nitya Aarogya,Jal Samruddhi, andSmaraka Sanchalane — the Foundation seeks to create sustained and measurable community impact.
