Vapi, Sep 17: Arete Group continues to strengthen its commitment to employee wellbeing by positioning mental health as a strategic pillar of its organizational culture. Through UMatter, its wellbeing initiative in partnership with MindPeers, the Group is fostering a psychologically safe workplace where open conversations, early intervention, and access to professional support are actively encouraged.

More than a workplace wellness program, UMatter is a long-term cultural initiative embedded within Arete Group‘s philosophy. By integrating leadership advocacy, mental health awareness, and confidential counselling, the initiative is helping normalize conversations around wellbeing while cultivating a culture of empathy, trust, and inclusion across the organization.
A key component of the program is “Counselling Sahi Hai,” an awareness campaign designed to challenge the stigma surrounding professional counselling. By reinforcing that seeking support is a proactive step towards personal wellbeing, the campaign encourages employees to prioritize their mental health with confidence. The initiative also extends beyond the workplace, encouraging families and friends to openly support one another, foster healthier conversations, and collectively contribute to a more positive and supportive environment.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Siraj, Director, Arete Group said
“At Arete Group, we believe an employee-first culture can only thrive when mental wellbeing is treated as a business priority rather than an employee benefit. UMatter was created to translate our values into meaningful action by fostering a workplace where employees feel safe to speak openly, seek support, and grow with confidence. Our goal is not only to provide wellbeing resources but to cultivate a culture where every individual feels genuinely supported.”
Highlighting the role of leadership in creating psychologically safe workplaces, Mr. Kumud Khulbe, Chief Human Resources Officer, Arete Group said
“Employee wellbeing is not simply an HR initiative as it is fundamental to organizational success. People perform at their best when they feel trusted, respected, and supported. Through UMatter, we are embedding mental wellbeing into our workplace culture by encouraging open dialogue, strengthening leadership accountability, and ensuring employees have access to the support they need.”
Research shows that investing in employee mental health drives higher engagement, productivity, retention, and a stronger workplace culture. Yet many employees still hesitate to seek support due to stigma. Through its partnership with MindPeers, Arete Group goes beyond confidential counselling by promoting ongoing awareness, open conversations, and leadership advocacy. By placing wellbeing at the heart of its people practices, UMatter reflects the Group’s commitment to building a workplace where employees can thrive personally and professionally.
