Bhiwadi/Gurugram, 16th September 2026: Kamdhenu Jeevandhara Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Kamdhenu Group as part of its efforts to promote skill development and livelihood opportunities, recently organised a hands-on stitching workshop for trainees at its centre. The training programme with professional trainers aimed to strengthen participants’ sewing skills while enhancing their understanding of sewing machines, fabrics, needles and basic stitching techniques. Around 40 trainees participated in the workshop.

Ms. Radha Agarwal, Chairperson, Kamdhenu Jeevandhara Foundation said, “The Kamdhenu Jeevandhara Foundation is firmly committed to fostering positive change in the society through skilling and empowerment. This practical training session from the sewing machine manufacturer, ‘Singer’ themselves provided participants with practical, hands-on learning not only on stitching techniques but also on essential machine care and fabric knowledge. With this training our trainees can now use sewing machines more effectively as they pursue tailoring as a livelihood opportunity.”

The Skill Development Centre currently runs two courses in computer training and tailoring for 6 months respectively in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. Total 130 students are enrolled in both courses and classes are held in 5 batches of 10 to 15 students each. The centre is managed by a centre incharge with two certified trainers for each course.

The foundation has been imparting skill development classes since 2019 and has benefitted more than hundreds of women acting as a catalyst to deliver life changing impacts to families. As part of the program, sewing machines are also provided free of cost on a need basis to select beneficiaries.
