Sept 15: Turtle Wax, Inc., the global pioneer in automotive appearance and surface care, has promoted Dibya Swarup Panigrahi, currently Marketing Director for India, with additional responsibility for leading the company’s marketing and growth strategy across the south-east Asia (ASEAN) region. This strategic appointment strengthens the company’s leadership team as it accelerates expansion across the rapidly growing South Asian and Southeast Asian automotive aftermarket In his expanded role, Dibya will oversee marketing strategy, consumer engagement programs, brand architecture, and new product development across the region. His primary focus will be driving consumer adoption through both retail Do-it-Yourself (DIY) channels and Turtle Wax’s growing network of professional co-branded detailing studios, while strengthening brand presence and accelerating sustainable business growth across key markets.
An alumnus of the Xavier Institute of Management, Dibya brings deep global industry insight gained across automotive, e-mobility, motorsports, emerging technology, and consumer products sectors. Prior to joining Turtle Wax, he held leadership positions at Tata Steel, PETRONAS Lubricants International, and Bosch. At Bosch, he was a global fast-track leadership talent through the Junior Managers Program (JMP), where he led global projects and cross-functional teams. His diverse experience provides a unique understanding of evolving mobility trends and consumer behavior across India, and the broader Asia pacific region.
His expertise spans business strategy, P&L management, product marketing, brand and category management, innovation, new venture development, and omnichannel go-to-market execution. He holds more than 10 patents and has authored several international publications in emerging technology domains. Throughout his career, he has built strategic collaborations with more than 150 startups, OEMs, regulators, IITs, research institutions, and top tier agencies.
Prior to joining Turtle Wax, he held senior leadership roles at organizations including Tata Steel, PETRONAS Lubricants International, and Bosch. He has been a fast-track leadership talent at Bosch through the JMP program leading global projects and cross-functional teams. His domain expertise spans techno-commercial business strategy, P&L leadership, product marketing, brand and category management, innovation for new venture creative, and omnichannel go-to-market execution. He has over 10 patents & international papers published in emerging technology domain and has established vital collaborations with 150+ startups, OEMs, regulators, design & marketing agencies, and research teams during his previous roles.

The appointment coincides with a major growth phase for Turtle Wax across India, and ASEAN region. Operating in more than 120 countries, the brand established its Indian subsidiary in 2019, introducing a co-branded studio model tailored to the country’s strong Do-It-For-Me (DIFM) detailing preference. Today, the network spans over 100 Car Care Studios across Tier-1 metros and emerging Tier-2/3 cities, supported by a 1,500 sq. ft. flagship Experience Centre and localized manufacturing ecosystem. Dibya’s strategic vision and leadership will guide Turtle Wax’s efforts to upscale industry detailing standards, drive affinity with the new-age consumer’s evolving needs, support detailing professionals, and deliver advanced climate-engineered vehicle appearance solutions across the region.
