Delhi Vehicle Retail Data For August 2026

Two-wheeler retail in Delhi increased 25.64 percent year on year to 51,126 units in August 2026, compared with 40,694 units in the same month last year. Passenger vehicle retail rose 30.16 percent to 17,506 units from 13,450 units.

Commercial vehicle retail increased 9.99 percent to 2,247 units from 2,043 units, while three-wheeler retail declined 61.46 percent to 2,098 units from 5,443 units. Tractor retail stood at six units, compared with one unit in August 2025.

Commenting on the August performance, Luthra said two-wheeler retail growth in Delhi was 25.6 percent, compared with 19.7 percent nationally. He attributed the increase to product acceptability, improved supplies, festive-season momentum and higher market activity, while noting that weakness in EV demand remained a constraint.
