University builds a multi-country platform connecting academic collaboration, semiconductor training and active-learning pedagogy to expand opportunity for students
Greater Noida and Ho Chi Minh City, 03 September 2026: Galgotias University has advanced one of its most substantial international engagements to date, formalising a set of education, research and high-technology partnerships in Ho Chi Minh City that connect two Vietnamese universities and the Saigon Hi-Tech Park ecosystem with the University’s academic and innovation capabilities. Conducted across 13 and 14 August 2026, the Vietnam engagement forms a recent thread in a rapidly widening international network that now spans Vietnam, Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Three agreements in Vietnam
The Vietnam engagement rests on three connected agreements. Galgotias University has signed a formal MoU with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), one of Vietnam’s largest private universities and a major centre for engineering, information technology and business education. It has established a strategic academic collaboration framework with the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City (UEF), an internationally oriented university known for its bilingual programmes in economics, finance, business and technology. And it has joined a Vietnam-India semiconductor initiative anchored at Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Ho Chi Minh City’s flagship technology zone and home to leading global semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, supported by a domestic coordination MoU among SHTP Training, Vietedge and IV Tech Electronics Co., Ltd., with Galgotias University serving as the Indian academic partner.
Each partner opens a distinct route for students. With HUTECH, the two universities are developing student and faculty mobility, joint research and applied learning in technology, engineering and logistics. With UEF, the work extends to artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, international research funding and faculty development. Through Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Galgotias University is connecting its academic expertise to semiconductor training, industry practice and workforce development, and is exploring a semiconductor Centre of Excellence in Uttar Pradesh with support from the Vietnamese Government’s high-technology ecosystem. Together, these partners give Galgotias University students direct access to Vietnam’s fast-growing technology, manufacturing and semiconductor sectors.
The Vietnam engagement follows Galgotias University’s participation, at the invitation of the Government of Vietnam, in the recently concluded India-Vietnam Tech Corridor Summit in New Delhi, where the two countries advanced cooperation in artificial intelligence, semiconductors and deep technology. The University’s presence reflects growing recognition of its contribution to India-Vietnam academic and high-technology collaboration.

Building on links in Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom
Beyond Vietnam, Galgotias University is extending its network across three further countries. In Japan, it is the only university in Uttar Pradesh to have signed an MoU with Yamanashi Prefecture and a Letter of Intent with Yamanashi University, a prefecture and institution recognised for advanced manufacturing, engineering and clean-energy research. In Singapore, the University is working with Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore), one of the world’s leading young universities and a global reference point for engineering and active-learning pedagogy, on the Galgotias Student-Centred Active Learning Ecosystem(G-SCALE) initiative. In the United Kingdom, it has signed an MoU with Girton College, University of Cambridge, part of one of the world’s oldest and most respected universities, creating a basis for future academic and student mobility collaboration.
Across all four countries the University’s approach is focused on driving real world impact for students. International partnerships are judged by what they deliver to students, namely global exposure, academic mobility, applied and interdisciplinary research, laboratory and workplace learning, internships, professional networks and clearer routes into employment. The intent is to place students in different academic environments while keeping them close to laboratories, companies and real problems.
The Galgotias University delegation to Vietnam was led by Ujjwal Pratap, Chief Communications Officer, and Dr Meenakshi Awasthi, Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering. The delegation met university leaders, researchers, training specialists and industry representatives, and reviewed education and technology infrastructure across Ho Chi Minh City and Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
The partners will prioritise activities that can demonstrate results in the near term while building broader programmes over the coming years. Planned steps include academic exchanges, joint research proposals, applied innovation projects, industry exposure, internships, semiconductor skills programmes and structured faculty development. Taken together, the Vietnam, Japan, Singapore and Cambridge engagements mark a decisive expansion of Galgotias University’s global academic network and its role in connecting India’s higher-education and innovation strengths with leading partners across Asia and Europe.
