Noida, Sep 03: The Institute of Management Studies,Noida, organised ‘Diksharambh’, an induction programme for first-year students of BBA, BCA, MCA and BAJMC. The programme was held at the institute’s Sector 62 campus and provided students with an opportunity to interact with distinguished professionals and gain valuable insights into academics, careers and the evolving industry landscape.

The programme featured eminent speakers including Mr. Amit Tiwari, Vice President, HCL Technologies; Mr. Kushagra Pachauri, Senior Analyst, Accenture; Mr. Dinesh Gautam, Anchor and Senior Executive Editor; Ms. Lavina Raj, Anchor, Zee News; and Mr. Dilnawaz Pasha, Senior Correspondent, BBC, who shared their experiences and perspectives with the students.
The event was attended by IMS Noida Vice President Mr. Chirag Gupta, Advisor Prof. Dr. J.K. Sharma, Dean Dr. Vartika Chaturvedi, along with Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Dr. Anita Pati, Dr. Sachin Batra, faculty members and students.
Addressing the students, Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS Noida, wished them a bright and successful future and encouraged them to set clear goals and work towards achieving them with determination and perseverance. He urged students to learn from failures and make renewed, well-planned efforts with greater enthusiasm. He also motivated them to remain optimistic and develop a positive outlook towards life.
In his opening address, Prof. Dr. J.K. Sharma, Advisor, IMS Noida, said that the true purpose of higher education extends beyond acquiring academic knowledge. It also plays a vital role in developing students’ personalities, confidence, creativity and ethical values. He encouraged students to embrace continuous learning, maintain a positive mindset and view future challenges as opportunities for growth.
Sharing his industry experience, Mr. Amit Tiwari, Vice President, HCL Technologies, said that in today’s competitive environment, earning a degree alone is not enough. Students must complement their technical knowledge with strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills to succeed in their professional careers.
Mr. Kushagra Pachauri, Senior Analyst, Accenture, highlighted the rapidly changing technology landscape, particularly the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence. He emphasised that continuous learning and the habit of upskilling are essential for students to remain relevant and prepared for future challenges. He appreciated the role of institutions like IMS Noida in providing students with exposure to both academic learning and real-world industry requirements.
Mr. Dinesh Gautam, Anchor and Senior Executive Editor, said that student life is an important phase for giving direction to one’s dreams and building a strong foundation for the future. He emphasised that success in today’s world requires more than textbook knowledge, with practical exposure, technical proficiency, communication skills and the ability to learn continuously becoming increasingly important. He advised students to keep themselves updated with emerging technologies and the changing corporate environment to stay ahead in their careers.
The Diksharambh programme concluded on an inspiring note, motivating the new students to embrace their academic journey with confidence, curiosity, discipline and a commitment to continuous growth.
