Aug 28: After making a strong mark with its story and music, the acclaimed Bengali film Bohurupi returns with a new chapter and a fresh musical world. Junglee Music and Windows Production come together once again for Bohurupi: The Golden Daku, unveiling “Phool Phutechhe” as the first song from the much-awaited film, released today.

“Phool Phutechhe” brings together the voices of Arpita Chakraborty, Noni Chora Das Baul and Bonnie Chakraborty. Penned by Noni Chora Das Baul and composed by him alongside Bonnie Chakraborty, the song blends the earthy charm of Bengali folk with a contemporary cinematic sound.
Featuring versatile actor-filmmaker Shiboprosad Mukherjee and celebrated Bengali actress Koushani Mukherjee, “Phool Phutechhe” offers the first musical glimpse into the world of Bohurupi: The Golden Daku. Romantic at its core, the track sets the emotional tone for the film while giving the second chapter a musical identity of its own.
Mandar Thakur, CEO, Junglee Music/Times Music, says,
“Music played an important role in the way audiences embraced Bohurupi, and returning to this world with Windows Production feels special. ‘Phool Phutechhe’ brings a warmth and folk sensibility that feels familiar yet fresh, making it a fitting start to the next chapter of Bohurupi.”
Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Co-Founder of Windows Production, says,
“‘Phool Phutechhe’ draws from the sounds and spirit of Bengal. There is a simplicity to the song that makes its emotion immediate. It was important for us that the first song from The Golden Daku felt connected to Bohurupi, while also opening the door to something new.”
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Bohurupi: The Golden Daku stars Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Jisshu U Sengupta and Koushani Mukherjee, and arrives in cinemas on 15 October 2026.
“Phool Phutechhe” is now streaming on all major audio platforms. Watch the full video on the Times Music Bangla YouTube channel.
