Noida, Aug 26: The Institute of Management Studies Noida, Sector 62, successfully concluded a five-day orientation programme for MBA students. The programme brought together subject-matter experts and experienced industry professionals who guided students on moral values, leadership, teamwork, career planning, effective communication, and emerging trends in the corporate world.

The orientation programme was designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to contemporary industry practices while helping them develop the skills and competencies required for their academic and professional journey. A range of activities, including workshops, guest lectures, group discussions, case studies, and interactive industry sessions, were organised during the programme.
Addressing the students, Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS Noida, emphasised that the true purpose of higher education extends beyond academic knowledge and focuses on the holistic development of students. He said that in today’s competitive and rapidly changing environment, academic qualifications alone are not sufficient for success. Leadership, creative thinking, effective communication, ethical values, and social responsibility are equally important attributes. He encouraged students to maintain a positive outlook and cultivate a spirit of continuous learning to successfully meet future challenges.
Prof. Dr. J. K. Sharma, Advisor, IMS Noida, highlighted the importance of applying classroom knowledge to real-life situations. He said that every challenge should be viewed as an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop professionally. He encouraged students to actively participate in social, cultural, and personal development activities alongside their academic pursuits, enabling them to face future challenges with confidence and competence.
Dr. Vartika Chaturvedi, Dean – CRC & Management, IMS Noida, informed that the five-day programme featured a series of workshops, expert lectures, group discussions, case studies, and interactive industry sessions. These activities enabled students to connect their classroom learning with practical industry situations and gain a better understanding of professional expectations. She further informed that 15 industry experts interacted with the students during the programme. The experts provided valuable insights into current industry trends and technological advancements while also discussing essential professional skills, innovation, and strategies for effectively addressing emerging challenges.
The orientation programme provided MBA students with an opportunity to interact with industry professionals, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen their understanding of the evolving corporate landscape. The programme concluded with students expressing their appreciation for the practical insights and expert guidance received throughout the orientation.
