Hyderabad, Aug 24: The Telangana Arekatika Trust and Telangana State Arekatika Election Committee are making arrangements to conduct the state-level elections of the Telangana State Arekatika Association. The Election Committee held a meeting in Hyderabad to discuss various aspects of the election process. Representatives of Arekatika community organisations, service organisations and those working for the development of the community from Hyderabad as well as different districts, taluks, towns and mandal headquarters across Telangana are expected to participate. The committee stated that its objectives are to bring the Arekatika community onto a common platform, conduct democratic elections, promote coordination and unity, and work towards social development. It appealed to representatives and organisations from all regions to cooperate and make the election process successful.
The election schedule will be released on the morning of September 2, 2026, while the election for the President of the Telangana State Arekatika Association will be held on October 2, 2026. Those interested in voter registration have been asked to contact the Election Committee before September 1, 2026. The committee clarified that individuals who do not register as voters within the prescribed deadline will not be eligible to vote or contest for the post of President. It urged all eligible members to complete their registration within the stipulated time and called for large-scale participation from across Telangana, stating that the elections are important for the community’s development, welfare, unity and future direction.
