– Collaboration to explore functional footwear for gait, posture, mobility and Orthopaedic wellbeing
Hyderabad, August 23, 2026: Amor Hospitals has entered into a strategic clinical collaboration with Shoealls Co., Ltd., Republic of Korea, bringing together Korean health-technology innovation and Indian clinical expertise to explore the role of functional footwear in gait, posture, mobility and orthopaedic wellbeing.
The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marks a significant step towards introducing and clinically exploring Shoealls’ functional footwear technology in India.

Commenting on the strategic tieup, Dr. Kishore B. Reddy, Managing Director, Amor Hospitals said, “Around 25–30% of orthopaedic patients could potentially benefit significantly from appropriately selected functional footwear, particularly in areas related to gait and posture. These can potentially complement clinical treatment and help patients in their everyday movement. Through our collaboration with Shoealls, we want to understand this technology clinically and explore how it can benefit the right patients.”
Shoealls has developed its proprietary Medichio vibration chip technology, incorporated into its functional footwear. According to the company, the technology is certified as a Class 2 medical device in Korea under MFDS and is listed with the US FDA and CE-registered in Europe.
Through the MoU, Amor Hospitals and Shoealls will explore professional measurement and fitting, clinical education, exchange of available research and potential future studies examining aspects of foot health, gait and mobility.
The collaboration will also enable Amor Hospitals to provide clinical feedback on the suitability of functional footwear for Indian patients.
“India represents an important opportunity for us to explore the intersection of functional footwear, healthcare and smart wellness. Our collaboration with Amor Hospitals brings together Shoealls’ technology and Amor’s clinical expertise, creating a strong foundation for future clinical learning and innovation,” added Lee Cheonggn, Founder & Chairman, Shoealls Co., Ltd.
The partnership reflects a broader evolution in healthcare, from treating disease to supporting mobility, independence and quality of life. Shoealls is also developing next-generation smart footwear and digital healthcare technologies, including AI-enabled platforms and self-powering-by-walking technologies.
Any future clinical or observational studies arising from the collaboration will be conducted under separate protocols and will be subject to applicable ethical, legal and patient-consent requirements. The collaboration is non-exclusive and does not involve any obligation on Amor clinicians to recommend the products; all clinical recommendations will remain based on independent professional judgement.
For Amor Hospitals, the collaboration represents an opportunity to explore how clinical medicine, mobility science and emerging health technologies can come together to support better movement and everyday wellbeing.
