Delhi, Aug 21: COMO Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with One Rep Global, its strategic India representation partner, recently hosted an exclusive familiarisation (FAM) trip for four leading travel advisors from across India. Held from July 27–31, 2026, the curated itinerary was designed to provide the Indian travel trade with firsthand experience of COMO Uma Bhutan while showcasing the brand’s signature luxury hospitality across COMO Uma Punakha and COMO Uma Paro.
The initiative reflects COMO Hotels and Resorts’ continued investment in the Indian outbound market, equipping travel advisors with in-depth product knowledge to better curate bespoke itineraries for the growing number of Indian travellers seeking luxury, wellness and experiential travel in Bhutan.
The FAM programme followed COMO Uma Bhutan’s signature ‘On the Tiger Trail’ itinerary, with participants spending two nights each at COMO Uma Punakha and COMO Uma Paro. The experience combined Bhutan’s iconic cultural landmarks with COMO’s renowned hospitality, wellness philosophy and immersive destination experiences.
The itinerary included visits to Punakha Dzong, Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, Chimmi Lhakhang, Tamchog Lhakhang and the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, while also introducing advisors to COMO Shambhala wellness experiences, signature dining and personalised service.
Together, the experience highlighted COMO Uma Bhutan’s distinctive blend of luxury, wellness, culture and adventure, providing travel advisors with valuable firsthand insights to confidently recommend and curate tailored Bhutan itineraries for the Indian market.
Hemant Mediratta, Founder & CEO, One Rep Global, said: “Bhutan has all the ingredients today’s Indian luxury traveller is looking for—a short flight from India, seamless accessibility, visa-free travel, breathtaking natural landscapes and experiences that encourage guests to truly slow down and reconnect. It offers the rare opportunity to enjoy an international luxury holiday without the long-haul journey. As demand continues to shift towards purposeful, experience-led travel, we see tremendous potential for Bhutan in the Indian market. Through this familiarisation trip, our objective was to give our travel partners firsthand exposure to COMO Uma Bhutan so they can confidently position it as one of the region’s most compelling luxury escapes.”
Sonam Wangchuk, General Manager, COMO Uma Bhutan, said: “India is one of our most important source markets, and we are pleased to welcome our valued trade partners to experience COMO Uma Bhutan firsthand. Through this collaboration with One Rep Global, advisors gained an authentic understanding of our twin-lodge experience, COMO Shambhala signature wellness philosophy and personalised hospitality. We look forward to welcoming more Indian travellers seeking meaningful luxury experiences in Bhutan.”
The successful completion of the FAM trip further reinforces COMO Hotels and Resorts’ long-term commitment to the Indian travel trade. Through its partnership with One Rep Global, the brand continues to deepen relationships with key travel partners while strengthening Bhutan’s position as a leading luxury destination for Indian travellers.
