Aug 20: Decathlon Sports India, the most loved sports retailer brand, continues to expand its popular ROCKRIDER Explore Series with the launch of three new mountain bikes engineered for diverse skill levels: the EXPL 10, EXPL 20, and EXPL 140. Highlighted by the EXPL 140, Decathlon’s first 29-inch Made-in-India mountain bike—the growing lineup caters to everyone from first-time riders to trail enthusiasts.

Rooted in localized research on Indian rider morphology, behavior, and terrain, the Explore Series optimizes frame geometry, handlebar width, saddle ergonomics, and testing protocols. By pairing technical components like hydraulic suspension and custom gearing with ease of handling, making these bikes adapted to the actual use of the cyclist.

Features a lightweight ~2.25 kg aluminum frame, 660 mm wide handlebars, and all-weather tires. Available in High Frame and Low Frame options for effortless city-to-trail transitions.
EXPL 20 – MADE FOR COMFORT. BUILT FOR FUN: Built for leisure riders who value comfort without compromising on control, the EXPL 20 features a steel frame with internal cable routing, wider saddle, 660 mm handlebars and comfort grips. Mechanical disc brakes provide reliable stopping, while key components are tested to ISO standards – bringing durability and confidence to everyday and recreational riding.
EXPL 140 – INDIA’S FIRST 29″ ROCKRIDER, MADE FOR ADVENTURE: For riders ready to take their cycling further, the Rockrider EXPL 140 is Decathlon’s first-ever 29-inch Made-in-India mountain bike. Built around an aluminium frame, it features 100 mm hydraulic suspension, 10-speed Shimano CUES gearing, easy-to-use trigger shifters and disc brakes, delivering greater control and capability for riders moving into the performance and adventure segment.
The expanded series aligns with a major shift toward active living across India. According to the Ipsos India Mobility Report 2026, 65% of Indians say they use walking or cycling specifically to stay active, with bicycles accounting for 6% of daily mobility choices. Decathlon’s completed Explore Series directly addresses this evolving landscape, offering a purpose-built bicycle for every step of the rider’s progression.
