Aug 19: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad commenced the academic journey of its new batch with ‘शुभारंभ – Orientation Programme 2026’ on Friday, 14 August 2026. The programme marked the formal welcome of the incoming students and provided them an opportunity to interact with distinguished corporate leaders, academicians and alumni.
 
The inaugural ceremony began with the Lighting of the Lamp, Saraswati Vandana and Guest Welcome, symbolising the beginning of a new journey of learning, professional development and personal growth.
 
Welcoming the new batch, Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, delivered the inaugural address. He welcomed the students to the Jaipuria family and encouraged them to make optimum use of their management education by developing a strong foundation of knowledge, professional competencies, values and leadership capabilities. He emphasised that management education today must go beyond classroom learning and prepare students to adapt to a rapidly transforming business environment.
 
The inaugural session was graced by eminent leaders from diverse industries who shared their perspectives and professional experiences with the students.
 
Mr. Kishore Chatnani, Joint Managing Director and CFO, Isgec Heavy Engineering Limited, addressed the students and shared valuable insights drawn from his extensive corporate experience. He encouraged the young management aspirants to develop a strong understanding of business fundamentals, professional discipline and an attitude of continuous learning to succeed in their careers.
 
Ms. Nidhi Sethi, Senior Director – Strategy and Transformation, NatWest Group, interacted with the students on the changing nature of organisations and the growing significance of transformation in contemporary business. She highlighted the importance of adaptability, strategic thinking and developing capabilities that enable young professionals to remain relevant in a dynamic corporate environment.
 
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Agniwesh Thakur, Business and Technology Leader – HXM, Accenture, highlighted the increasingly important intersection of business and technology. He encouraged students to develop a technology-oriented mindset alongside their managerial competencies and prepare themselves for workplaces where digital technologies are continuously reshaping business models, processes and decision-making.
 
Ms. Reetika Sood, Director Talent Acquisition – APAC, AML RightSource, shared insights from the talent acquisition and human resource perspective. She sensitised students to the expectations of modern organisations and emphasised the importance of developing professional competencies, communication skills, adaptability and the right attitude for building successful careers.
 
The presence of senior leaders representing finance, strategy and transformation, business technology and talent acquisition provided the incoming students with diverse perspectives on the competencies required to succeed in the contemporary corporate world.
 
The inaugural session concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Ruby Bhatia, Dean (Academics), Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring the distinguished guests.
 
An important highlight of the Orientation Programme was ‘Spandan – An Experience Sharing Session by the Distinguished Alumni’. The session connected the new batch with accomplished members of the Jaipuria alumni community, who shared their professional journeys, experiences at the Institute and lessons learned during their transition from campus to the corporate world. The interaction provided students with practical perspectives on academics, skill development, career preparation and making the most of their two-year management programme.
 
The Orientation Programme has been designed to facilitate the smooth transition of students into management education while familiarising them with the academic environment, professional expectations and culture of the Institute.
 
Through ‘शुभारंभ’, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing professionally competent, technologically aware, ethically responsible and future-ready management graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to business and society.
