New Delhi, Aug 19: India’s third-party logistics (3PL) sector is emerging as a key driver of the country’s modern warehousing market, recording more than 110 million sq. ft. of cumulative absorption between 2021 and the first half of 2026.
The sector absorbed 11.1 million sq. ft. in the first half of 2026, reflecting strong demand from businesses seeking professional warehousing and supply-chain solutions.
The growth is being supported by e-commerce, organised retail, manufacturing and rising consumer demand. Companies are increasingly outsourcing logistics operations to improve efficiency and expand their distribution networks.
The market is also moving towards larger and higher-quality warehouses, with Grade A facilities gaining a bigger share. Technology, automation and digital inventory management are further transforming warehouse operations.
The continued expansion of 3PL services is expected to strengthen India’s logistics ecosystem, improve supply-chain efficiency and support the country’s broader economic and manufacturing growth.
