New Delhi, Aug 19: The All India Distillers’ Association will host the Green Energy Seminar 2026 on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at Le Méridien, New Delhi, bringing together senior government officials, policymakers, OEMs, state government representatives, investors and industry leaders for a full day of dialogue on the future of India’s bioenergy and clean mobility ecosystem.

Held under the theme “Clean Mobility Pathways for India’s Energy Future,” the seminar comes at a pivotal moment for the sector. India achieved its E20 ethanol blending target ahead of schedule, flex-fuel vehicles are beginning to enter the market, and momentum is building around higher blends and next-generation biofuels. The seminar is designed to help industry and government deliberate on the post-E20 roadmap and define the strategic priorities for the years ahead.

Speaking ahead of the seminar, Mr. Vijendra Singh, President, All India Distillers’ Association (AIDA), said,

“India’s ethanol blending programme has proven what coordinated policy and industry action can achieve, and reaching E20 ahead of schedule is a milestone the entire ecosystem should be proud of. The task now is to look beyond E20 and build a clear, phased roadmap for higher blends, flex-fuel vehicles and next-generation biofuels. The Green Energy Seminar 2026 is designed to be that platform, where policymakers, OEMs, states and industry sit together and align on the path forward. This is not only about energy security and lower emissions; it is about turning our farmers from Annadata to Urjadata and strengthening rural incomes as India moves toward a cleaner mobility future.”

Curated for a focused cohort of 150 to 200 senior participants, the programme will feature industry leaders across a series of policy tracks, white paper launches and roundtables. Confirmed themes include feedstock security and sustainability, flex-fuel vehicles as a clean mobility pathway, state bioenergy policies, and a focused policy roundtable among ministry officials, OEM leaders, state representatives and industry leadership.

Mr. Kushal Mittal, Vice President, AIDA, said,

“The next phase of India’s bioenergy growth will be defined by how effectively industry, OEMs and investors work together on the ground. Flex-fuel mobility, sustainable aviation fuel and ethanol-based clean energy applications represent significant opportunities, but they need policy certainty and coordinated investment to scale. The Green Energy Seminar 2026 gives our members and partners a focused platform to translate ambition into concrete, bankable action.”

Alongside the policy tracks, the seminar will feature the launch of India’s first Biofuel Sustainability White Paper, a dedicated States Bioenergy Session, a first-of-its-kind session on Women in Bioenergy and Sustainability, and a Live Bioenergy Tech Hub showcasing emerging technologies. AIDA has invited government leaders, industry stakeholders, OEMs, technology providers, investors and researchers to take part.

Ms. Bharati Balaji, Deputy Director General, AIDA, said,

“We have designed this seminar to move beyond conversation and towards outcomes. From the launch of India’s first Biofuel Sustainability White Paper to a dedicated States Bioenergy Session and a first-of-its-kind session on Women in Bioenergy and Sustainability, every element is built to deliver actionable insight and broaden participation in the sector. Our aim is to bring the full ecosystem together and help shape a shared, forward-looking agenda for India’s clean energy transition.”

Bringing together government, industry, OEMs, states and researchers on a single platform, the Green Energy Seminar 2026 is positioned as a defining gathering for India’s bioenergy sector. The discussions and outcomes from 2 September 2026 are expected to inform the strategic priorities that will shape the country’s post-E20 roadmap and its broader clean mobility transition in the years ahead.
