Chennai, Aug 19: The Tamil Nadu Tennis Association is hosting the UNIFI ITF Junior Tennis Cup tournament from August 17th to 22nd 2026 at the SDAT Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium in Chennai.
The Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, as part of the UNIFI ITF Junior Tennis Cup, hosted an inspiring Motivational Talk Series for young tennis players at the Players’ Lounge, SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam, Chennai.
The session featured Ramesh Krishnan, Indian tennis legend, who interacted with the young players and shared insights from his tennis journey, his experiences representing India, and the importance of motivation, discipline and perseverance in building a successful sporting career.
The interactive session provided an opportunity for the young players to gain valuable perspectives from one of India’s most respected tennis personalities. Ramesh Krishnan encouraged the players to remain focused, work consistently on their game and embrace the challenges that come with competing at the highest levels.
Following the motivational interaction, Arjun Basu, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Primal Patterns, conducted an interactive session focused on fitness, strength and conditioning for players on tour. The session highlighted how young athletes can manage their fitness and physical preparation while travelling and competing in tournaments.
The initiative is part of TNTA’s efforts to provide young tennis players with opportunities to learn not only through competition but also through interactions with experienced professionals and sporting personalities.
The UNIFI ITF Junior Tennis Cup continues to provide a competitive platform for emerging tennis talent while creating opportunities for players to develop both on and off the court.
