Aug 18: A new 3×3 basketball tournament, 3×3 Quest India 2026, will give Indian players an opportunity to compete for a place on the international stage.
The tournament will be held on September 12 and 13 in New Delhi, bringing teams together for a two-day competition in the fast-paced 3×3 format.
The winners will earn an opportunity to compete at a FIBA 3×3 World Series event in Mongolia, giving the team a chance to face international opponents and gain valuable experience.
3×3 basketball is played on a half court with three players on each team. Games are shorter and faster than traditional five-on-five basketball, placing a strong emphasis on quick decisions, shooting, defence and teamwork.
The format has grown rapidly worldwide since making its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 and was also part of the Paris 2024 Games.
The launch of 3×3 Quest India is expected to provide Indian basketball players with another competitive platform and greater exposure to the international 3×3 circuit.
