Beyond The Curve Reimagines Inclusive Fashion for the Modern Curvy Consumer

Beyond The Curve, VIRGIO’s size-inclusive fashion proposition co-created with actor and fashion advocate Anjali Anand, is redefining contemporary fashion for curvy women by putting inclusivity, style and representation at the centre of the fashion experience. With its collection available across VIRGIO’s retail touchpoints, including its store at Infiniti Mall, Malad West, Mumbai, Beyond The Curve is creating greater access to trend-led fashion across extended sizes.

Built around the belief that inclusivity should begin at the design stage, Beyond The Curve was created to give curvy women greater representation in contemporary fashion. Rather than simply extending conventional designs into larger sizes, the proposition considers the fit, silhouettes, proportions and preferences of curvy consumers from the outset. The collection currently spans 2XL to 6XL, with styles designed around contemporary trends, comfort and versatility.

Over the past year, Beyond The Curve has served over 30,000 customers, achieved an ARR of ₹25 crore, and built a community of more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. The growth reflects increasing demand for contemporary, trend-led fashion designed with curvy women at the centre.

Beyond The Curve also brings a focus on creating fashion that reflects how curvy women actually want to dress today, from everyday styles to occasion-led looks, with an emphasis on contemporary silhouettes rather than limiting consumers to a narrow set of conventional plus-size offerings. By placing design, fit and consumer preferences at the core of the proposition, the brand is building a more relevant and expansive fashion experience for the category.

Anjali Anand, Co-Creator, Beyond The Curve said,

“Inclusivity in fashion is about making women feel seen, represented and free to express themselves through what they wear. For me, Beyond The Curve has always been about creating that sense of belonging — where curvy women are not expected to compromise on style, fit or self-expression. Being part of the process from the beginning has made this deeply personal, because I know what it feels like when fashion doesn’t make space for you. I want Beyond The Curve to keep challenging that idea and show women that they deserve to see themselves at the centre of fashion.”

Adding to the sentiment, Amar Nagaram, Co-Founder & CEO, VIRGIO expressed,

“Beyond The Curve is a strong example of what becomes possible when we stop designing for an assumed consumer and start listening to the consumer. For us, inclusive fashion is not about creating a larger version of an existing product; it is about building the product differently from the beginning, with the consumer at the centre.”

With its growing offline footprint, Beyond The Curve is taking its vision of inclusive fashion beyond the digital storefront and into physical retail. The Malad store marks another step in building spaces where curvy women can access trend-led fashion, discover new styles and shop with greater choice and confidence.

The Beyond The Curve collection is available to customers across VIRGIO’s website, Myntra, AJIO and Nykaa Fashion, offering consumers convenient access to its range of trend-led styles across extended sizes.
