VVISM Inaugurates 21st PGDM Batch, Welcomes Future-Ready Leaders

Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Systems & Management (VVISM) formally inaugurated its 21st PGDM batch on Monday. Held at C K Prahlad Hall, the event brought together the institute’s leadership, industry veterans and the newest cohort, marking the beginning of a two-year journey of learning, discovery and transformation.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation, followed by the inaugural address by GSS Venkateshwara Rao, President of Vishwa Vishwani Institutions and one of the institute’s founding members. Rao spoke about VVISM’s institutional growth and emphasised the importance of emotional intelligence, self-evaluation and an entrepreneurial mindset in shaping the students’ journey.

Welcoming the new batch, Dr. V. Jayashree Veluthakkal, Dean & Director, VVISM, emphasised that personal transformation was as important as academic achievement. She urged students to pursue personal excellence, go beyond established standards and “raise the bar”. She encouraged them to enter the programme with curiosity, lead with courage and graduate as capable, future-ready leaders.

Special Guest Ajeet Mishra, Co-Founder and Managing Director of DiaCare Solutions Healthcare and a VVISM PGDM alumnus from 17 years ago. Returning to the institute as an industry leader, Mishra addressed the students on entrepreneurship, innovation, research and continuous learning, offering them a tangible perspective on the possibilities that a VVISM education can open up.

Chief Guest Mrs. Lakshmi Nair, Co-Founder of MindsSparc Pvt. Ltd. and a veteran of more than three decades in global consulting with Accenture and IBM, shared insights on self-awareness, identifying strengths, building confidence and developing resilience to face life’s challenges. Her experience provided the students with an industry perspective on the qualities required to navigate professional and personal life.
