150 Kia Syros EVs Handed Over at a Single Venue as Dealership Marks Malayalam New Year

Kochi, Aug 18: Incheon Kia, one of Kerala’s largest Kia dealership networks, is marking Chingam 1, the first day of the Malayalam New Year, with the delivery of 500 Kia vehicles across Kerala in a single day. The milestone includes the handover of 150 Kia Syros EVs at a single venue, earning Incheon Motors Private Limited an India Book of Records recognition for the “Maximum Single-Model Electric Car Sold by a Dealer in a Day.”
Mr. Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India, joined the celebrations as Chief Guest, along with Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, Mr. M.A.M Babu Moopan, Chairman, Incheon Kia, and Mr. Naeem Shahul, Managing Director, Incheon Kia. The occasion combines traditional Onam celebrations, including a pookalam, chenda melam and Onasadya, with the flag-off of the 150 Syros EVs in convoy.
The milestone comes in a significant year for Incheon Kia, with the dealership on track to cross 10,000 vehicle sales in a single year for the first time, taking its cumulative sales beyond 50,000 vehicles since inception. Its workshops are also expected to cross four lakh repair orders in 2026. Demand for the Syros EV has been strong, with bookings crossing 650 units and continuing to grow, with the first 150 vehicles being delivered today to early customers.
The dealership is also announcing a ₹10-crore investment in clean energy. Its rooftop solar capacity will increase from 250 kW to 2 MW by the end of 2026, generating around 24 lakh units of clean electricity annually and preventing nearly 1,900 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. Incheon Kia aims to operate its entire dealership network on green energy upon completion of the programme. A 240 kW DC ultra-fast charger is also now operational at its flagship Nettoor facility and can charge a compatible premium EV to 80% in under 20 minutes.

Incheon Kia currently operates 25 touchpoints across Central and South Kerala and will expand to 35 by the end of September 2026, with 10 new Kia Studio outlets being added at Ottapalam, Perumbavoor, Kakkanad, Kattappana, Pala, Pathanamthitta, Adoor, Kottarakkara, Kattakada and Venjaramoodu. The network is supported by more than 2,000 employees across sales, service and customer care.
