New Delhi, Aug 14: The BRICS CCI Youth Leadership Dialogue 3.0 concluded on August 12 at Novotel New Delhi City Centre, bringing together students and young leaders with distinguished diplomats, embassy representatives, Ministers of State, senior bureaucrats, policymakers, business leaders and other eminent personalities.
The closing ceremony marked the culmination of the multi-day youth leadership programme organised by the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which focused on creating meaningful interactions between young people and leaders from diplomacy, governance, public policy, business and international affairs.
The programme provided students and young delegates with an opportunity to engage directly with senior representatives, understand diverse perspectives on global affairs and explore the role of youth in strengthening international cooperation.
A Platform Connecting Students with Decision-Makers
A key objective of the Dialogue was to move beyond conventional youth conferences by facilitating direct interaction between students and professionals working at senior levels of diplomacy, government, administration and business.
The closing ceremony brought this vision together, with students participating alongside diplomats, embassy representatives, Ministers of State, bureaucrats and distinguished guests. The organisers believe that young people should not only be prepared to become future leaders but should also be given opportunities to participate in important conversations today.
Sameep Shastri and the Youth Leadership Vision
Mr Sameep Shastri, Chairman of BRICS CCI, has been associated with the organisation’s youth leadership and international engagement initiatives. He is also known for his family legacy as the grandson of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. The programme reflects the broader vision of strengthening youth participation in international cooperation and creating platforms where young Indians and international delegates can build meaningful relationships.
Nishant Sama’s Role in Youth Engagement
Nishant Sama, Vice President, Young Leaders Vertical, BRICS CCI, has been associated with the youth leadership initiative and engagement with participating students, speakers and distinguished guests.
Speaking ahead of the closing ceremony, Nishant Sama said:
“The most important part of this programme is the interaction between young people and experienced leaders. When a student gets an opportunity to sit with a diplomat, a policymaker, a bureaucrat or a business leader and ask questions directly, it can change the way that young person looks at the world. Our objective is to create those connections and inspire the next generation of leaders.”
He also added:
“The closing ceremony is not an end, but the beginning of relationships and ideas that we hope will continue beyond this programme and contribute to stronger international cooperation.”

The Dialogue brought together participants around themes including leadership, diplomacy, governance, entrepreneurship, international relations, innovation and sustainable development.
The presence of embassy representatives and international participants added a strong global dimension to the programme, while the participation of students kept youth aspirations at the centre of the discussions.
