Gurugram, Aug 12: KIIT World School, Gurugram, organised a ‘Parent Connect’ programme aimed at strengthening the partnership between parents and teachers for the holistic development of students. The programme provided a platform for parents and teachers to engage in meaningful discussions on students’ academic progress, skill development, interests and overall growth.
The initiative reflected the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, which emphasises the importance of collaboration between schools and families in supporting children’s learning and development. Discussions also focused on Kaushal Bodh, with emphasis on developing practical skills, self-reliance and competencies that can help students prepare for future challenges.
During the parent-teacher interactions, parents had an opportunity to understand their children’s learning progress and achievements. Teachers shared insights not only into students’ academic performance but also their behaviour, skills, interests and individual development. The two-way interaction helped both parents and teachers gain a better understanding of students’ needs and identify ways to work together towards their growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Neelima Kamrah, Principal, KIIT World School, Gurugram, said,

She further emphasised that holistic development goes beyond academic achievement and includes building life skills, confidence, creativity and a sense of responsibility among students. Regular communication between the school and parents plays an important role in supporting children across these areas.
During the programme, parents also shared their suggestions, experiences and feedback with the teachers. Their inputs were considered valuable in further strengthening the learning experience and addressing the evolving needs of students. The active participation of parents added greater meaning to the initiative and encouraged a collaborative approach towards education.
