Bengaluru, Aug 7: The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission and GoodWorks Group, a tech ecosystem enabler, have entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding to jointly accelerate Karnataka’s next phase of growth as the world’s destination for Global Capability Centres.
The partnership will focus on attracting global enterprises to establish and expand their operations in Karnataka while strengthening the State’s overall GCC ecosystem through investment promotion, international outreach, policy support, industry engagement, research, talent initiatives and strategic collaborations.
By combining KDEM’s strategic leadership and vision to accelerate technology investments and foster innovation, with GoodWorks Group’s enterprise ecosystem and Sansovi GCC-as-a-Service unified platform that helps global enterprises set up, scale and operate world-class centres in India, the partnership seeks to create a globally recognized platform for companies looking to establish and scale their India operations from Karnataka.
As a part of the collaboration, GoodWorks Group and Sansovi GCC will work closely with KDEM to support global investor engagement, organise sector-focused roundtables, facilitate international business delegations, prepare industry research & GCC reports, support policy implementation initiatives, build knowledge platforms, strengthen academia-industry partnerships and promote Karnataka across key international markets including North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East.
The partnership will also support the development of specialized ecosystem initiatives, including virtual Centres of Excellence for strategic industry sectors, enabling closer collaboration between government, industry, academia and global enterprises.
Catalyzing Karnataka’s Next Phase of GCC Growth
Based on GoodWorks Group’s economic impact assessment, the partnership aims to facilitate the establishment of 50 new Global Capability Centres in Karnataka over the coming years, creating significant economic value for the state.
The projected impact includes:

●₹2,250 crore in annual salaries flowing into Karnataka’s economy
●1.25 million sq. ft. of additional commercial real estate absorption

Beyond economic impact, the initiative seeks to further strengthen Karnataka’s position as the preferred destination for innovation, engineering, artificial intelligence, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, semiconductors and other high-value global capability centres.
