Aug 4: AWL Agri Business Limited, one of India’s largest foods and FMCG companies, has further strengthened its partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation by donating five custom-built insulated food distribution vehicles to support the Foundation’s Mid-Day Meal Programme. The company has also committed to sponsoring nutritious mid-day meals for more than 41,000 children studying in government schools across Gandhinagar. The five customised insulated food distribution vehicles will enable the safe and timely delivery of freshly prepared meals to government schools across Surat, Gandhinagar, and Vadodara, further strengthening the Foundation’s ability to provide nutritious meals to children every school day. Together with the sponsorship of meals for over 41,000 children in Gandhinagar, the initiative reinforces AWL Agri Business Limited’s commitment to advancing child nutrition, improving learning outcomes and creating sustainable social impact.

We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with The Akshaya Patra Foundation through this initiative, which combines infrastructure support with direct nutritional assistance to children. We hope this contribution will help ensure that nutritious meals continue to reach children safely and efficiently, empowering them to focus on learning and building a brighter future.”
Acknowledging the company’s continued support, Sri Raya Rama Dasa, Vice President, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Gujarat, said,
“We are grateful to AWL Agri Business Limited for its continued partnership in strengthening our Mid-Day Meal Programme. Together, these efforts will help us combat classroom hunger, improve school attendance and help more children to learn and thrive.”
The partnership builds on the long-standing association between AWL Agri Business Limited and The Akshaya Patra Foundation. By supporting both meal delivery infrastructure and access to nutritious food, the two organisations continue to work together to address classroom hunger and improve better educational outcomes for children. Till date, the company has served over 7 lakh mid-day meals to school children and provided 14 food delivery vehicles, covering more than 27,000 children across 129 schools.
The programme also reinforces AWL Agri Business Limited’s commitment to creating long-term social impact through Fortune SuPoshan, the company’s flagship CSR programme that addresses malnutrition and anaemia among women and children. With initiatives that improve access to nutritious meals, the programme reflects the company’s broader efforts to strengthen nutrition, support communities and contribute to building a healthier, stronger India.
