CII Telangana organized the 8th Edition of CII Telangana CFO Conclave with the theme The Future- Ready CFO : Navigating Disruption | Driving Intelligence | Shaping Tomorrow on 31 July 2026 at Hyderabad.
The 8th Edition of the CII Telangana CFO Conclave brought together leading finance professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, and business strategists to deliberate on how finance leadership must evolve in an era defined by disruption, artificial intelligence, and geopolitical uncertainty. The conclave underscored that CFOs must transition from custodians of financial reporting to architects of strategic growth, leveraging AI, predictive intelligence, and data-driven decision-making to build resilient, future-ready organisations. The discussions reinforced that judgment, foresight, and innovation will remain the defining attributes of tomorrow’s finance leaders, positioning CFOs at the forefront of enterprise transformation and sustainable economic growth.
Chief Guest of CII Telangana CFO Conclave Mr K Ramakrishna Rao, IAS Advisor & Ex-Officio, Spl. Chief Secretary to Chief Minister, Government of Telangana, underscored that the expectation of a CFO is not merely to respond to change, but to prepare the organisation before change happens. Highlighting Telangana’s growth from a ₹60,000 crore budget to ₹2.4 lakh crore and its vision of becoming a US$3 trillion economy by 2047, he called on CFOs to evolve from process managers to strategic leaders. Machines will always do the arithmetic; the question is whether we will do the thinking, he remarked, emphasising judgment, foresight, AI adoption, and talent development as the foundations of future-ready enterprises.
Mr P R Ramesh, Independent Director & Former Chairman, Deloitte India said that The CFO is perhaps the most important position in any organisation—not just to manage finance, but to shape the future. Reflecting on the conclave theme, he urged CFOs to navigate disruption through intelligence, foresight and strategic thinking. Shaping tomorrow is about relevance, he remarked, stressing that CFOs must balance short-term performance with long-term value creation, embrace AI, sustainability and compliance, and evolve into business leaders. Don’t look in the rear-view mirror while driving your business—look ahead
Mr Gaurav Maheshwari, Vice Chairman, CII Telangana & Managing Director, Signode India Ltd said that The CFO today is no longer just about managing numbers, but about being cautious, forecasting the future, and remaining optimistic. He added, No major business strategy is decided today without the advice of the CFO, urging finance leaders to embrace continuous learning, foresight and leadership in an increasingly dynamic business environment.
