Alexandria, Va., July 22: The American Counseling Association is pleased to announce Insight Timer as the newest addition to its Strategic Partner Network.
Launched in 2024, the Strategic Partner Network was built for organizations that align closely with ACA’s strategic plan, mission and goals. This partnership offers a year-long engagement with ACA members and the broader counseling community and will support ACA’s efforts to provide continuing education, advocacy and networking opportunities.
Insight Timer is the world’s most popular free well-being app, used by more than 3 million people each month. For counselors, it works as a free between-session resource: a library of more than 300,000 expert-created videos, audios, worksheets and psychoeducation materials spanning nervous system regulation, somatic practices, IFS, self-compassion and trauma-informed approaches. Counselors can recommend it to clients at no cost, helping them continue their progress between appointments.
“Counselors provide essential care, but like teachers, far too many end up overworked and burned out. And no one can be there for every moment between sessions,” said Insight Timer CEO Christopher Plowman. “More than 125,000 clinicians already turn to Insight Timer to fill that gap. This partnership puts our free library directly in the hands of ACA’s members, to extend the support they give clients and to help them look after their own well-being, too.”
“We are excited about this partnership with Insight Timer. Their commitment to equipping ACA members with a trusted, free, between-session resource for their clients is well aligned with our strategic goal of providing high-quality resources to counselors,” said Brian D. Banks, ACA’s CEO. “By partnering with Insight Timer, our Strategic Partner Network continues to drive toward our goal of connecting with companies that demonstrate a clear commitment to supporting the counseling profession.”
ACA members are invited to download the app and explore the free library of between-session resources that can help counselors support their clients.
