Rockville, Md., July 22: The American Society of Human Genetics is pleased to announce the selection of Oxford University Press as its new publishing partner. Beginning in January 2027, OUP will oversee the production and dissemination of ASHG’s two journals, The American Journal of Human Genetics and Human Genetics and Genomics Advances . ASHG will retain full editorial control and responsibility for peer review, ensuring that both journals continue to reflect the Society’s commitment to scientific excellence, rigor, and integrity.

For more than 75 years, ASHG’s flagship journal, AJHG, has published many of the field’s most influential discoveries and perspectives, helping to shape scientific dialogue on issues of importance to the human genetics and genomics community. ASHG’s fully open-access journal, HGG Advances, is a home for the rapid publication of a wide range of research findings and formats that meets ASHG’s enduring standards for scientific rigor, validity, and reproducibility
