India, July 17: Queen Elizabeth’s SchoolGurugram (QE Gurugram), today announced its collaboration with JAGA (Junior Asian Golf Academy), to introduce a structured highperformance golf programme within the school ecosystem. As India accelerates its ambition to emerge as a global sporting powerhouse, schools are increasingly expected to play a defining role in identifying and nurturing the nation’s future champions.

Designed as a long-term athlete development pathway, the programme combines technical coaching, physical conditioning, mental resilience, leadership and academic balance, enabling students to pursue sporting excellence without compromising educational achievement. The initiative reflects QE Gurugram‘s vision of creating an environment where students graduate not only as exceptional learners, but as confident leaders, accomplished athletes and responsible global citizens.

Students will have access to a structured pathway spanning foundational golf education through elite competitive training, under the guidance of Arjun Malik, Head of Instruction at JAGA. The programme combines on-campus golf facilities with access to championship-level infrastructure at Classic Golf & Country Club, providing young athletes with an ecosystem typically available only to elite training academies.

The curriculum will include technical coaching, physical preparation, sports psychology, on-course strategy, performance analytics and regular assessments, alongside opportunities to compete in inter-school, national and international tournaments. By embedding this ecosystem within the school experience, QE Gurugram is reimagining how sport is delivered in K-12 education.

Dr Craig Cook, Founding Principal, Queen Elizabeth’s SchoolGurugram, said, “At Queen Elizabeth’s School, we believe the future of education lies in developing young people who excel not only academically but also in leadership, resilience and performance. Sport is a powerful catalyst for building these qualities, and it deserves to be integrated into education, not treated as an extracurricular activity. This programme reflects our ambition to establish Queen Elizabeth’s School as one of India’s leading destinations for student-athletes. Through world-class coaching, international-standard facilities and an educational model that supports both academic and sporting excellence, we are creating an environment where talented young people can pursue their aspirations without having to choose between the classroom and the playing field. As India invests in building a stronger sporting culture, schools have a critical role to play in identifying talent early and creating structured pathways for long-term development. We are proud to be at the forefront of this movement.”

Speaking on the launch John Laroche, CEO of JAGA said “JAGA is excited to bring its expertise and proven experience in developing junior golfers to Queen Elizabeth School through this exciting partnership. The JAGA Way is a structured and holistic training system that assesses every child across different skill areas of the game, allowing coaches to create personalized training plans that cater to each student’s individual needs and stage of development. This approach ensures that every young golfer receives the right guidance to learn, improve, and enjoy the game. With a presence across six countries, JAGA follows a unified coaching philosophy that combines fun, learning, and highperformance development. Our vision is to create an environment where children not only discover a love for golf but also build the skills, discipline, and confidence required to compete at the highest levels of the sport. This collaboration with Queen Elizabeth School represents an important step towards making golf more accessible to school-going children. It establishes a clear and progressive pathway, enabling students to begin their golfing journey as complete beginners and, with the right support and commitment, develop into elite competitive golfers.

The programme will follow a tiered structure comprising foundation, development and elite squads, enabling students to progress based on interest, aptitude and performance. It will also include physical training, mental conditioning, on-course strategy development and regular evaluations through JAGA’s structured progression framework.

The launch of the highperformance golf programme further strengthens QE Gurugram‘s vision of becoming one of India’s leading schools for integrated excellence where academic rigour, world-class sport and holistic character development come together to prepare students for success on the global stage. By embedding elite coaching within everyday school life, the school is setting a new benchmark for how education can contribute to India’s next generation of sporting talent.
