Telangana Minister Jupally Krishna Rao to be Chief Guest; Carnatic stalwart Vidwan D. Raghavachari and Guru Vidushi Sudha Dusi to grace the occasion
Hyderabad, July 10: In an inspiring confluence of music, culture, and compassion, 15-year-old Carnatic vocalist Kum. Sia Nagasri Jayakumar, a high school student from San Jose, California, USA, will present a special benefit concert titled “Sangeetha Seva Saadhana” on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 4.30 PM at JNTU Auditorium, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
The concert is being organized by Carnatica Global in association with Global Arts Temple USA as part of Harmony Resonance, a unique initiative launched by the young artiste to support social causes through music.
What makes this concert particularly noteworthy is that the proceeds will support Saadhana Welfare Society, an organization dedicated to the care and empowerment of intellectually challenged individuals.
A disciple of internationally acclaimed Carnatic maestro Vidwan K. N. Shashikiran, Sia represents a new generation of globally connected young Indians who are preserving classical traditions while using art as a vehicle for social impact.
Having performed at prestigious platforms across the United States, including the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival and several leading cultural organizations, Sia has steadily built a reputation for her musical maturity and commitment to community service. Inspired by the philosophy that learning is incomplete without service, she founded Harmony Resonance to raise awareness and support for deserving non-profit organizations.
The event will be graced by Sri Jupally Krishna Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Prohibition & Excise, Tourism, Culture and Archaeology, Government of Telangana, as Chief Guest. Eminent Carnatic musician Vidwan D. Raghavachari of the renowned Hyderabad Brothers and respected guru Vidushi Sudha Dusi will also be present.
Sia will be accompanied by an accomplished ensemble featuring Vid. Srihari Vittal (Violin), Vid. Peravali Jaya Bhaskar (Mridangam) and Vid. B. Janardhan (Ghatam).
The parents of the performer say the concert is not merely a musical presentation but a celebration of the timeless Indian ideal of combining Vidya (Knowledge), Kala (Art), and Seva (Service).
The event is open to all music lovers, philanthropists, and cultural enthusiasts.
