New Delhi,July 3 : ORGAN India, an initiative of the Parashar Foundation, in collaboration with the Manav Rachna Sports Science Institute and the O.P. Bhalla Foundation, hosted its largest–ever national training camp for Indian transplant athletes preparing for the World Transplant Games 2027 in Leuven, Belgium.

Held from 27th June to 4th July 2026, the camp brought together 37 transplant athletes from across India, including more than 18 new athletes. ORGAN India has been appointed Team Managers and Country Representatives for India by the World Transplant Games Federation and is preparing to take its largest–ever contingent of over 70 members to the 2027 Games. This will be the third consecutive World Transplant Games for which ORGAN India will manage and support Team India.
The camp included sports science support, fitness assessments and technical training across disciplines including badminton, volleyball and table tennis.
The camp featured several powerful transplant athletes, including Ramdev Singh, who won four medals at WTG 2025 and was mentioned by the Prime Minister in Mann Ki Baat; Dr. Jaskaran Singh, a kidney donor to his wife, who won five medals and was named Donor Athlete of the Tournament; Swati Kapre, 60 plus and 24 years post liver transplant; WTG 2025 medal winner Vivek Chaudhary; brothers Lawrence Nadar, a kidney donor, and Robin Nadar, a kidney recipient; and 16-year-old Manav Chaudhary, a new entrant to the team. Rajasthan formed the largest contingent, with previous WTG winners including Bhawani Singh, Satbir Singh, Ankit Kumar, Amit Kumar Sharma, Hitesh Sharma, Harsh Vardhan Singh; five athletes travelled from Maharashtra. The camp also saw two couples where the husbands have donated to their wives.
