Chief Minister Congratulates Sikkim Tourism on Winning India Today Tourism Award 2026

 

New Delhi, June 29: The Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Sikkim Tourism on being conferred the India Today Tourism Award 2026 in the “Most Instagrammable Landscape” category for the iconic Hairpin Bends near Zuluk, Sikkim.

In his message, the Hon’ble Chief Minister stated that the prestigious recognition celebrates the breathtaking beauty of the Zuluk hairpin bends and further reinforces Sikkim’s position as one of India’s premier tourism destinations.

The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant. On behalf of the Government of Sikkim, the award was received by the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism & Civil Aviation, Shri Tshering T. Bhutia, accompanied by Shri Sonam Norgay Lachungpa, Chairman, Tourism & Civil Aviation.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister congratulated Sikkim Tourism and all those whose dedication and commitment continue to showcase the State’s unparalleled natural beauty to the world. He remarked that the award is a proud moment for Sikkim and a testament to the collective efforts being made to promote the State as a sustainable and world-class tourism destination.
