New Delhi, Dec 24: Art Magnum Gallery successfully hosted an insightful interactive session and panel discussion as part of the ongoing exhibition Mythical Voyage on 21 December 2025 at its New Delhi space. The event brought together artists Vrindavan Solanki and K. Muralidharan for a thought-provoking dialogue that explored mythology, memory, and cultural imagination within contemporary Indian art.
Moderated by Kiran K Mohan, Curator, the session featured an esteemed panel including Kishore Singh, Author, Curator and Senior Art Advisor, and Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya, Curator. The discussion examined how mythological narratives and personal memory continue to shape artistic expression today, while highlighting the distinct yet complementary practices of the two artists. Speaking at the event, Kiran K Mohan said, “Mythical Voyage creates an important space for dialogue on how artists today interpret myth and cultural memory in deeply personal yet contemporary ways.”
While Vrindavan Solanki’s work is characterised by introspection, restraint and emotional stillness, K. Muralidharan’s practice draws from mythology, folklore and vivid visual storytelling. The interaction highlighted how these contrasting approaches intersect within a shared cultural and philosophical framework, offering audiences deeper insight into contemporary Indian art practices.
Artist Vrindavan Solanki shared, “My practice emerges from inner reflection. Conversations like these allow me to articulate the quiet emotional spaces that shape my work.”
K. Muralidharan added, “My paintings are rooted in stories that continue to live within us. Engaging with audiences allows these narratives to be shared and questioned in new ways.”
Renowned art advisor Kishore Singh observed, “The exhibition brings together two distinct artistic sensibilities that demonstrate how mythology remains relevant and dynamic within contemporary art.”
Curator Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya noted, “Mythical Voyage reflects how myth is constantly reimagined through memory, experience and artistic inquiry.”
The interactive session reaffirmed Art Magnum’s commitment to creating platforms for meaningful engagement between artists, curators and audiences within the contemporary art landscape.
