New Delhi, June 25 : The Indian National Students Association has partnered with Test Twenty to open UK player trials to Indian students and young Indian-origin cricketers studying in Britain. INSA joins as the Founding Educational and Youth Engagement Partner for the United Kingdom and will use its university network to help eligible players register and work towards selection.

Test Twenty has already drawn global attention for its 80-over format, played as four innings of 20 in a single day. Under its Parity Rule, every franchise fields two squads, one male and one female. They play the same match, in different innings, for one shared result. What she scores in the morning decides whether he wins in the evening.

The partnership is aimed at the growing number of university students playing cricket in the UK, with registration open to players aged 13 to 21. INSA will work with university cricket clubs and student communities to identify emerging talent and bring in South Asian and international students.

INSA will also run a “Bring a Buddy” drive, encouraging Indian students and young Indian players to invite friends, teammates and classmates from other nationalities and backgrounds to register alongside them.

Gaurav Bahirvani, Founder and Chairman of Parity Sports, the company behind Test Twenty, said,

“The future of sport belongs to young people who think beyond borders. United Kingdom is the original home of cricket. Universities are melting pots of talent, ambition and cultural exchange, and there could be no better partner than INSA in the UK to help us inspire a new generation of cricketers and leaders. Together, we are building something far greater than a tournament – we are creating a global youth movement.”

Amit Tiwari, President, INSA UK, said,

“Cricket has a unique ability to bring people together across cultures, generations and backgrounds. That is why we are delighted to partner with Test Twenty, a format that combines the heritage and skill of Test cricket with the pace and excitement of the modern game. As an organisation representing Indian students across the UK, we are always looking for opportunities that foster community, connection and shared experiences. Test Twenty is an innovative concept that can engage both lifelong cricket fans and those discovering the game for the first time. We look forward to supporting its journey and introducing it to our growing student and alumni network.”

Players who register through INSA enter Test Twenty’s global player pool, which the organisers use to scout and develop young cricketers while keeping male and female players in the same side.

With cricket returning to the Olympics at Los Angeles 2028, the organisers expect more young players to look for new ways into the game. For Indian students in the UK, the INSA tie-up offers one such route: a chance to be seen by a global cricket platform while they study.
