BVM Global School, Perungudi hosts Tamil Nadu State-Level Chess Tournament

Chennai, June 24: BVM Global School, Perungudi, managed by Veranda K-12, a Veranda Learning enterprise, successfully hosted the 3rd Tamil Nadu State-Level Children’s Chess Tournament 2026 in association with Saturangam360 Academy, which saw participation of nearly 500 young chess players from across Tamil Nadu.

The tournament featured competitions across Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, and Under-17 categories, providing a platform for young participants (Boys and Girls) to showcase their strategic thinking, concentration, and sportsmanship. A total of 175 cups, trophies, medals, and special awards were presented to recognise outstanding performances.

The enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and schools across Tamil Nadu reflects the growing popularity of chess among young learners. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BVM Global School students, with the school recording one of the highest numbers of registrations across categories.  The successful tournament reflects BVM Global School’s continued focus on creating meaningful opportunities that foster intellectual growth, confidence, leadership, and lifelong learning.
