Kolkata, June 8 :Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group and Prof. Ajay Kumar Ray, Director, JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research inaugurated GNIDSR’s DST–FIST Laboratory at its campus in Kolkata, reinforcing JIS Group’s commitment to research excellence and innovation-driven education. Prof. (Dr.) J. Bhattacharyya, Principal, GNIDSR, Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Pro Chancellor, JIS University, and Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Vice Chancellor, JIS University along with eminent academicians, researchers, healthcare professionals and students were present on the occasion.
The DST–FIST has advanced research instruments, including a Spectrophotometer, 3D Printer, and Micro Vickers Hardness Tester. These sophisticated facilities are expected to significantly enhance research capabilities, support innovation in biomaterials and dental sciences, and promote interdisciplinary collaborations across academic and scientific domains.
The laboratory will also provide faculty members, researchers and students access to cutting-edge scientific infrastructure, creating new opportunities for high-impact research, knowledge creation and collaborative projects that address emerging challenges in healthcare and allied sciences.
