Sennheiser showcases next-generation audio innovations at Palm Expo 2026

Spectera is built on Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems  technology and is designed to redefine how wireless audio systems are deployed and managed. It integrates microphones, in-ear monitoring, and control data into a single wideband RF channel, enabling highly efficient and flexible wireless production workflows. With up to 64 channels (32 inputs and 32 outputs) in a single 1RU base station, Spectera delivers scalable capacity for complex live sound, broadcast, and theatre environments. Visitors experienced a complete Spectera workflow on site, including the Spectera Base Station, SEK bodypacks, antennas integrated into the RF setup, and the WebUI interface for real-time monitoring and control.

The showcase also included the much-anticipated Spectera SKM handled transmitter that features bi-directional functionality, which allows full remote control of parameters like gain and low cut. The Spectera SKM is compatible with both Sennheiser and Neumann capsules and it will be available in September 2026.

Also on display was the HD 480 PRO, Sennheiser’s latest closed-back professional monitoring headphone developed for recording, tracking or monitoring in studio, live audio environments or on the move. The HD 480 PRO delivers uncoloured frequency response for honest, full spectrum sound reproduction and lightweight comfortable design for extended professional use.

Visitors also had the opportunity to experience SoundBase through a dedicated demo station at the Sennheiser booth. As the world’s first brand-neutral RF planning tool and universal wireless audio management software, SoundBase brings wireless coordination, communication, and collaboration into a single platform, enabling more efficient management of complex wireless audio workflows.
