
Chef Amit Dash has been elevated to the position of Multi Property Director of Culinary for The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, and The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, recognising his significant contribution towards strengthening the culinary reputation, guest dining experiences, and food and beverage performance across both hotels.
With over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality, Chef Amit has been at the forefront of creating distinctive dining concepts, award-winning culinary experiences, and innovative food and beverage programming that have helped position both hotels among the region’s most sought-after dining and hospitality destinations.
Over the past few years, Chef Amit has played an instrumental role in shaping and elevating the culinary landscape across the two properties. Under his leadership, signature restaurants have garnered widespread acclaim, including multiple industry recognitions for specialty dining destinations Prego and EEST at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi. His leadership has also been pivotal in introducing innovative dining concepts and destination-led culinary programming that have further strengthened the hotels’ standing within the highly competitive NCR market.
A strong advocate of experiential dining, Chef Amit spearheaded the launch of Teppan by EEST, bringing interactive culinary theatre to guests through a contemporary teppanyaki experience. He also conceptualized and launched Tangra – Tales of Chinatown at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, a first-of-its-kind Hakka-style Chinese restaurant inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Kolkata’s historic Chinatown. The restaurant has added a distinctive new dimension to the resort‘s culinary portfolio, reinforcing its position as a destination for immersive and story-driven dining experiences.
Chef Amit has further championed a series of celebrated chef collaborations, curated pop-ups, seasonal showcases, bespoke dining experiences, and destination-led food festivals, helping elevate the reputation of both hotels within India’s evolving gastronomic landscape. Equally passionate about people development, he has played a key role in mentoring culinary talent, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
In his expanded role, Chef Amit will oversee the culinary vision, strategy, operations, innovation, sustainability initiatives, and talent development across both properties, while continuing to drive the evolution of their diverse restaurant portfolio and guest dining experiences.
