Eggoz Launches ‘Protein Plus’ Eggs With 7g Protein Per Egg, Positioning Eggs as India’s Everyday Protein Upgrade

May 21: Eggoz, India’s first egg brand focused on clean, traceable, and high-protein nutrition, has launched Eggoz Protein Plus Eggs, aimed at consumers increasingly seeking fitness-focused and functional everyday food choices.

The launch comes amid rising awareness around fitness, recovery, and preventive wellness in India, particularly among consumers looking for convenient and natural protein sources of everyday nutrition. With fitness-conscious consumers and gym-goers often consuming multiple eggs as part of their daily diets, Eggoz aims to address the growing demand for better nutritional choices through familiar food habits. According to the 2024 recommendations by the Indian Council of Medical Research, healthy adults require approximately 0.83g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. Just two Protein Plus Eggs can contribute meaningfully towards a healthy adult’s daily protein intake, while a 10-egg pack delivers approximately 70g protein.

Commenting on the launch, Abhishek Negi, Co-Founder & CEO, Eggoz, said, “Consumers today are becoming far more conscious about fitness, recovery, and overall nutrition, but there is still limited awareness around nutritional quality within the egg category itself. With Protein Plus, we wanted to create a smarter everyday upgrade for consumers who already rely on eggs as part of their daily diets. As more consumers move towards functional and performance-focused food choices, we see strong demand for clean, trustworthy, and convenient nutrition that fits naturally into existing habits ”

As part of the launch, Eggoz plans to roll out the product across quick-commerce platforms, fitness-led digital campaigns, influencer collaborations, gym activations, and nutrition awareness initiatives, initially focusing on Delhi NCR and Bangalore, with availability also across Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, and Lucknow. Backed by automated grading technology, weight screening and minimal human handling at its processing centres, the company aims to deliver consistent sizing, hygiene, and quality across every pack.

Eggoz believes the next phase of India’s wellness consumption will be driven by functional everyday foods rather than supplements alone. Eggs continue to remain one of the most affordable, natural, and convenient sources of complete nutrition compared to several processed or alternative nutrition options available today. Globally regarded as a gold-standard nutrition source due to their superior digestibility and the presence of all nine essential amino acids, eggs are also naturally rich in BCAAs such as leucine, isoleucine, and valine, which play an important role in muscle recovery, satiety, strength support, and lean muscle maintenance.
