Bengaluru, India May 19: Amazon has announced the launch of the all–new Fire TV Stick HD in India. This is Amazon‘s fastest HD streaming stick yet, delivering over 30% faster performance on average than the previous generation. It provides customers access to full HD streaming with HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6 support, a slimmer, more portable design, and a new Fire TV experience, redesigned for faster, more organised navigation. With Fire TV Stick HD, customers can stream lakhs of movies and TV episodes across content providers and enjoy Xbox cloud gaming without the need for a console (subscription fees may apply).

Earlier in 2026, Amazon also rolled out its redesigned Fire TV mobile app in India. The updated app allows customers to browse and discover content directly from their smartphones, manage their watchlist on-the-go, and play titles on their TV remotely—all with a refreshed look and feel that matches the new Fire TV interface.

Fire TV Stick HD also brings cloud gaming to Fire TV HD streaming devices for the first time, helping customers enjoy their favourite Xbox games without any need for a console. By pairing the new streaming stick with a compatible Bluetooth-enabled controller, customers can access and play hundreds of cloud-enabled games directly through the Xbox app on Fire TV Stick HD (requires Xbox Game Pass subscription).
