New Delhi, May 15 : The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has commenced the online application process for admission to its PG Diploma course in Urdu Journalism for the academic session 2026-27. Interested candidates can apply online till May 26, 2026. The application forms are available on the official website of Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

The entrance examination for admission to the course will be conducted on June 1, 2026, at the IIMC headquarters in New Delhi. Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Pranvendra, Course Director, Urdu Journalism, informed that the examination will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. She stated that the entrance test will include questions related to General Knowledge and the field of Media and Communication.

Candidates possessing a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for admission to the course. Students who have appeared or are appearing in their final year or semester examinations may also apply. However, selected candidates will be required to submit their original provisional marksheet or certificate by September 30, 2026. Students successfully completing the programme will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma.

As per the eligibility criteria, candidates belonging to the General Category should be born on or after August 1, 2001, while candidates from the OBC Category should be born on or after August 1, 1998. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the date of birth should be on or after August 1, 1996.
