New Delhi, May 13: Hansraj College, University of Delhi, proudly inaugurated the first-ever Research Display Week on Monday, May 11, 2026, marking a significant milest one in promoting undergraduate research and academic innovation under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Undergraduate Curriculum Framework. The week-long event from May 11th -15th has been conceptualized to showcase the research projects undertaken by fourth-year undergraduate students across diverse disciplines. The initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to fostering inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary engagement, and a strong research culture among students. 

Hansraj College Hosts Inaugural Research Display Week

The event was graced by eminent academicians and administrators including Prof. Dinabandhu Sahoo, Chairperson, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council and Head, Department of Botany, University of Delhi; Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, SAU, Indore and Former Director, Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS-DRDO); Prof. Rama, Principal, Hansraj College. 

In her address, Principal Prof. Rama highlighted the growing importance of undergraduate research and applauded the efforts of students and faculty members in creating a vibrant academic environment that nurtures innovation and critical thinking. Vice-Principal Prof. Vijay Rani Rajpal shared the vision behind the Research Display Week and emphasized the importance of creating platforms that encourage young researchers to present and discuss their scholarly work. The Research Display at Hansraj College showcases more than 250 posters across the disciplines of arts, commerce, and sciences.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dinabandhu Sahoo appreciated the initiative taken by Hansraj College and encouraged students to pursue research with curiosity, integrity, and dedication. He emphasized the role of research in nation-building and academic advancement.

Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra delivered an inspiring address on scientific innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the transformative role of research in higher education. Drawing from his extensive experience in defence research and nuclear medicine, he motivated students to embrace scientific inquiry and contribute meaningfully to society through research and innovation.

The Research Display Week stands as a testament to Hansraj College’s dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic education, while providing students with a valuable platform to showcase their intellectual and research capabilities.
