Bengaluru, May 12: The University of Liverpool has announced the appointment of Professor Richard Grose as Provost for the Bengaluru campus at Alembic City. This appointment marks a significant step in establishing strong academic leadership as the university prepares to welcome its inaugural cohort.
Professor Grose brings extensive experience in international academic leadership and research. He previously served as Dean for International at Queen Mary University of London (Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry), where he played a key role in building global partnerships and advancing cross-border education programmes. A Professor of Cancer Cell Biology, he also has an extensive, distinguished career in research leadership.
The University of Liverpool Bengaluru continues to strengthen the leadership bench with this recent appointment. This follows the announcement of Anil S Kumar as Chief Operating Officer and reinforces the University’s commitment to building a world-class institution in India.
As Provost, Professor Grose will be responsible for the strategic leadership, academic development, culture, governance and management of the University of Liverpool, Bengaluru campus. He will play a critical role in shaping the institution’s academic culture, fostering a research-driven ecosystem, and ensuring the delivery of globally benchmarked, UK-accredited education in India.
