Mumbai, May 08: This Mother’s Day, Pause – Pali Hill’s plant-based café, is opening its doors to every kind of love. Guests can walk in beside their mothers or simply carry memories of them, there is a seat, a drink, and a moment here for you.
Pause has always been a place built on quiet things: a good cup of something warm, a table that asks nothing of you, and the kind of conversation that only happens when you finally slow down. This weekend, on Saturday, 9th May & Sunday, 10th May, the café is channelling all of that into two heartfelt days.
Whether arriving hand-in-hand with their mother or simply carrying a memory of her, every guest will be welcomed with a complimentary drink – a small offering that reflects the spirit of giving without occasion or expectation. Rooted in the idea that some emotions are best expressed through simple acts. Adding to the experience, every mother visiting the space will be gifted a flower – a subtle gesture that says, “we see you, and we’re glad you’re here.”
The restaurant will also host a special Memory Board installation throughout the weekend, inviting guests to write down a memory, message, feeling, or words dedicated to their mothers. Slowly coming together as a patchwork of shared love and nostalgia, the board aims to turn the walls of the space into a living collection of stories from the community in Bandra.
“Motherhood doesn’t always look one way. Some of us come with our mums beside us. Some of us come carrying them in our hearts. All of it is welcome at Pause.” said Rohit Dadlani, Co-founder of Pause.
The café will be open both days, and the Memory Board will remain up through the week—a small, living archive of the things we never quite say out loud.
