CHEVY CHASE, Md., May 6 — Enlightenment Capital, an Aerospace, Defense, Government & Technology (ADG&T) focused investment firm based in the Washington, DC area, announced the appointment of Rob Albritton as Managing Director, Technology and Innovation. Albritton will lead technology strategy, innovation, and AI initiatives across Enlightenment Capital’s portfolio companies, support diligence for new investments, and advise the firm on its technology and AI roadmap.

Albritton is an award-winning AI and machine learning leader with more than 20 years of experience building cutting-edge technology for intelligence and defense organizations. At Octo, he established and led oLabs, Octo’s AI Center of Excellence, overseeing a 14,000-square-foot innovation hub and growing the firm’s AI practice across its defense and intelligence portfolio. Earlier in his career, Albritton was an integral member of NVIDIA’s public sector AI team, served as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at MITRE, and was a Research Geospatial Engineer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). An Air Force veteran, he has made significant contributions to the U.S. Army’s Integrated Visual Augmentation System, the Algorithmic Warfare Cross Functional Team, and other high-profile Department of Defense AI programs.
Albritton holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, a Master’s degree from the National Intelligence University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Systems and Geography from the University of Maryland. He serves as an AI/ML Committee Member at the Global SOF Foundation and has received multiple U.S. Army awards for technology transfer and civilian service supporting U.S. Special Operations Command.
