ZEISS India launches ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 to Empower Wildlife Observation and Conservation Efforts

Apr 27: ZEISS, a global pioneer of science in optics, announced the launch of the new ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 in India. Designed to deliver a seamless balance of optical performance, ergonomics, and portability, the spotting scope is built to support the growing community of wildlife enthusiasts, birders, and conservation professionals across the country.

With India being home to rich biodiversity and over 1,300 bird species, access to high-quality optical equipment plays a crucial role in enabling accurate observation, documentation, and conservation efforts. The ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 aims to bridge this gap by offering advanced, field-ready optics that enhance visibility even in challenging environments.

Commenting on the launch, Kunal Girotra, Regional Head, Photonics and Optics Division, ZEISS India, shared, “India’s rich biodiversity and growing community of birders, wildlife photographers, and conservationists are driving the need for high-performance, accessible optical solutions. The ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 is designed to support this ecosystem by enabling more precise observation, better documentation, and a deeper connection with nature. Its combination of compactness, optical excellence, and ergonomic design makes it an ideal companion for extended field use whether in protected reserves, biodiversity hotspots, or citizen-led conservation initiatives. With this launch, we aim to contribute to strengthening India’s wildlife observation and conservation landscape through advanced, reliable optics.”

Exceptional optical performance for diverse conditions

Featuring ZEISS T* coating, high edge sharpness, and 87% light transmission, the Conquest Apia 65 delivers bright, high-contrast images even in low-light conditions such as early mornings or dense forest habitats. Its versatile magnification range of 20x to 50x enables both wide landscape scanning and detailed observation, making it ideal for birding and wildlife tracking.

Compact, lightweight, and built for the field

Engineered for mobility, the spotting scope measures just 299 mm up to 25% shorter than comparable models and weighs only 1.3 kg. Its robust aluminum-magnesium construction ensures durability while remaining easy to carry across varied Indian terrains, from wetlands to forests and mountainous regions.

Designed for ergonomic comfort

ZEISS places strong emphasis on ergonomics, with smooth and precise focus and zoom mechanisms that enable effortless operation. The strategically positioned focus wheel ensures optimal balance and accessibility, allowing for stable and comfortable viewing even during extended use.

Enhanced Versatility with Smart Accessories

The Conquest Apia 65 is supported by a range of accessories designed for flexibility and convenience. These include a control lever for one-handed use, a stay-on protective case, and a ZEISS Digiscoping Adapter for smartphone connectivity to capture images and videos. Tripods with Arca-Swiss compatibility further enhance stability.

The new ZEISS Conquest Apia 65 will be available with retailers and on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
