Chennai, April 15: Chennai’s largest and most anticipated running event, the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon (DRHM), is set to return on July 19, 2026. Hexaware Technologies, a global provider of IT solutions and services, continues its association as the title sponsor for the seventh consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to promoting health, fitness, and community welfare.

Designed to make fitness accessible to all, the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon offers free, structured training programs across 14 chapters in Chennai. Participants can train within their local neighborhoods under the guidance of experienced health and fitness experts, ensuring inclusive participation across all levels.

The marathon features two race categories—21.1K and 10K—catering to both seasoned runners and first-time participants. Beyond promoting physical well-being, the event continues to serve a larger purpose by supporting meaningful social causes.

Proceeds from the 2026 edition will benefit three Chennai-based non-governmental organizations:

  • FREEDOM Trust, supporting the distribution of prosthetic limbs
  • International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), aiding women survivors of domestic violence
  • Vijay Human Services, providing financial assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities

The previous edition witnessed participation from nearly 7,000 runners and successfully raised over INR 45,00,000 towards social welfare initiatives, underscoring the event’s growing impact and community engagement.

Commenting on the announcement, Nidhi Alexander, Chief Marketing Officer, Hexaware, said,

“Over the past seven years, this run has become something Chennai truly owns. What we value most is seeing people show up year after year—for fitness, for their communities, and for the causes this event supports. We’re proud to continue being part of that journey.”

Rekha Sudarsan, Founding Member, Dream Runners, added,

“What makes this event special is the impact it creates year after year. The more people who take part, the more we’re able to give back. We’d love to see Chennai come together again this July.”

With its strong focus on fitness, inclusivity, and social impact, the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon continues to stand as a landmark community-driven initiative, encouraging individuals to train, race, and contribute to meaningful causes.
