New Delhi, Apr 13: The Chairman & Managing Director of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) delivered the keynote address at a one-day Conference of Chief Project Managers (CPMs) from Project Implementation Units (PIUs) across nearly 30 cities, held in New Delhi. The address underscored execution excellence, innovation, and institutional strengthening as key pillars driving the organization’s future growth.

  Appreciating the efforts of RVNL teams across the country, the CMD highlighted the importance of direct engagement with field officers to strengthen coordination, improve understanding of on-ground realities, and enhance organizational alignment, beyond regular virtual interactions.

Highlighting RVNL’s strong market position as a listed entity, the CMD noted the company’s significant growth in market capitalization and sustained investor confidence. He emphasized the organization’s responsibility towards stakeholders, calling for continued focus on efficiency, profitability, and timely project delivery.

The CMD stressed the need for RVNL to create a distinct market niche by leveraging its technical expertise, engineering capabilities, and proven execution strength. He underlined core organizational values such as integrity, loyalty, and professional commitment as essential to long-term institutional success.

Emphasizing capacity building, the CMD called for regular training programmes focused on emerging technologies, innovation, and modern project management practices. He also highlighted the importance of showcasing RVNL’s engineering excellence on national and global platforms, citing landmark achievements such as the iconic Pamban Bridge.

The CMD commended teams working on major projects including the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag railway line and Kolkata Metro, acknowledging their dedication and professionalism in executing complex infrastructure works. He reiterated that timely completion, safety, and quality must remain the three guiding principles of all project execution efforts.

Further, the CMD emphasized the need for well-documented policies and process-driven systems to ensure consistency and institutional continuity. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening employee welfare initiatives by adopting best practices from leading public sector enterprises.

Encouraging active participation, the CMD expressed confidence that the conference would foster constructive brainstorming, knowledge sharing, and actionable insights to further enhance RVNL’s performance and growth trajectory.

During the conference, CPMs presented detailed updates on progress, challenges, and achievements across their respective project domains nationwide. Departments at RVNL’s Corporate Office also delivered presentations on key areas including safety, quality assurance, innovation, adoption of new technologies, process improvements, business development, competitive bidding, financial management, human resources, and organizational transformation through Artificial Intelligence.
