Chennai, Apr.10 (BNP): Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, has been honoured with the prestigious CAHO Outstanding Leader Award at CAHOCON 2026, the 10th annual conference of the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), held in Chennai.
The award recognises Dr. Samanta’s significant contributions to the fields of education, social transformation, and healthcare, particularly his efforts in making quality healthcare affordable and accessible through KIMS.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Dr. Samanta expressed gratitude and said, “This honour means a lot to me, as it recognises our continuous efforts in education, social transformation, and healthcare. Through KIMS, we have always tried to provide affordable, accessible, and compassionate care to the people.”
He also recalled KIIT’s role in hosting CAHOTECH 2025, highlighting it as a meaningful platform for discussions on healthcare technology and innovation.
“For many years, we have been quietly working to bring healthcare closer to people, especially those who need it the most. I thank the President, Vice President, and Secretary of CAHO for recognising this effort,” he added.
Dr. Samanta further stated that the recognition would inspire him to continue his work with greater dedication, responsibility, and compassion.
The award adds to his growing list of national and international accolades, reaffirming his leadership in advancing inclusive education and accessible healthcare.
